"Welcome to Pleistocene Park"

Films: Attack of the Sabretooth (2005)

Alias: None

Type: Man-Made

Location: Civilized Area/Jungle

Height/Weight: Twice that of lions.

Affiliation: Neutral

Summary: When cloning prehistoric species, it pays to try and start with the more harmless creatures. Otherwise, you're inviting trouble, even if it's a success. Especially if it's a success.

History: Primal Park is a budding place on an island not far from Fiji, and the brainchild of somewhat unethical scientist Niles Green. He has made three Smilodons, one of which is larger yet paraplegic. He has hired some investors and students to come see his new creation, but then a power failure strikes. From there, the island becomes a death trap in which there is no escape, as the Smilodon pack makes mincemeat out of them all.

Notable Kills: See Final Fate.

Final Fate: After the female is killed in an explosion, the deformed one rams into a door hard enough to send a Smilodon sculpture's sabre into Niles' mouth, killing him. The cat is then shot to death. However, the male remains...

Powers/Abilities: None.

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 2.5-Savage? Perhaps. But not all that convincing. Indeed, these poor cats could have used a higher effects budget to compliment their hunting prowess. Also, that third clone was rather pitiful. Who would allow that?

Trivia: -If Niles had wanted his park to not be a one-trick pony, he could look at other prehistoric cats, of which there are many. There's Thylacosmilus, which had bizarre saber-shaped protrusions on its chin, Homotherium, otherwise known as the scimitar cat, and Dinofelis, which occupies an interesting position as a "false sabretooth" due to its relatively small canines and less robust frame. There are others, of course.

-Although the embryos in this film have fully-developed canines, actual Smilodon babies would definitely have very small ones instead, which would simply grow over time. Then again, it probably doesn't take a scientist to know that.

Rather, under corporations...no more.

There's no guests in 20 minutes and this happens!

Very scary, sir. Good luck with the fragile fangs.
Even solid metal is useless in this park...unless that's cheap tinfoil.
